Access Statement

Accessibility at Wood Farm

Wood Farm offers touring and camping pitches as well as three caravan holiday homes and one, two bedroomed self catering flat for hire.  There are also privately owned holiday homes.

Caravan Holiday Homes

All of our caravan holiday homes have steps leading up to a small walkway and one further step into the van. The holiday homes are most suited to those with reasonable mobility.

The Poplars

The Poplars, is our self catering flat.  The Poplars has ramp access to the front and rear of the property and a private car parking space.  There is a small patio area at the rear with table and chairs and another at the front with two chairs. The kitchen is large with a table and 4 chairs for dining. The bathroom has bath, toilet, sink and a separate wheel-in shower complete with fold down shower seat. The lounge has patio doors with a step access to the front patio. One twin bedded and one double bedroom, both bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.

Touring and Camping

All of our Touring Pitches are hard standing.  We have two separate disabled rooms on the Park, which provide a shower complete with shower seat, basin and toilet.  They can be accessed by using a Radar Key.  A key is available from Reception (a refundable deposit is required) for those not having their own.

We offer a variety of pitches with excellent hillside and surrounding countryside views.  All of the Touring and Camping Pitches have parking alongside the pitch for your convenience.  If you would prefer a pitch close to a toilet block, please inform our staff when making your reservation and we will endeavour to honour any requests.  Some of our pitches are sloping and you may need  blocks and wedges to level (we both sell and hire these in our shop).

The Park

Our Park is set on a hillside and there is considerable up and down walking due to the terrain.  We take the safety of our customers very seriously and therefore there is a 10mph speed limit throughout the Park with clearly marked speed bumps in several locations.

Reception is accessible via a ramp which also leads into the shop.  The shop provides basic convenience goods and the nearby supermarkets have a wider selection.

Dogs are welcome on the Park and there are designated dog walking areas at the top and the bottom of the Park.

We have resident Park assistants who are contactable throughout the week and in an emergency.

The Park has good coverage on all mobile networks.

The Park has good Wi-Fi provision, access codes are available online from Club WiFi.

The Facilities

Offshore swimming pool and café are accessible via a ramped access from the car park. The swimming pool is accessible to people with reasonable mobility, but is inaccessible to wheelchair users due to the varying levels.   The public pool in Axminster has good wheelchair access.

The Lighthouse games room is accessible with level access and our Information Room is on level ground.  We have two course fishing Lakes on the park, which are stocked with Carp, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Tench.  There is no vehicular access to the lakes; we do however offer a drop off and collection service for customers with mobility problems.  Please inform our Reception Staff if this service is required.
