Wood Farm offers touring and camping pitches as well as three caravan holiday homes and one two bedroomed self catering flat for hire. There are also privately owned holiday homes.
Two of our caravan holiday homes have steps leading up to a small walkway and one further step into the van. One caravan holiday home has ramp access with one step into the van. The holiday homes are most suited to those with reasonable mobility.
The Poplars, is our self catering flat. It has been graded Mobility 2 under the National Accessible Scheme and is typically suitable for persons with restricted walking ability and those that may need to use a wheelchair some of the time. The Poplars has ramp access to the front and rear of the property and a private car parking space. There is a small patio area with table and chairs. The kitchen is spacious and offers wheelchair access to both the hob and the sink. All kitchen cupboards are accessible. The bathroom has bath, toilet, sink and a separate wheel-in shower complete with fold down shower seat. The lounge and both bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.
All of our Touring Pitches are hard standing. We have two separate disabled rooms on the park, which provide a shower complete with shower seat, basin and toilet. They can be accessed by using a Radar Key. A key is available from Reception (a refundable deposit is required) for those not having their own.
We offer a variety of pitches with excellent hillside and surrounding countryside views. All of the Touring and Camping Pitches have parking alongside the pitch for your convenience. If you would prefer a pitch close to a toilet block, please inform our staff when making your reservation and we will endeavor to honour any requests.
Our park is set on a hillside and there is considerable up and down walking due to the terrain. We take the safety of our customers very seriously and therefore there is a 10mph speed limit throughout the Park with clearly marked speed bumps in several locations.
Reception is accessible via a ramp which also leads into the shop. The shop provides basic convenience goods and the nearby supermarkets have a wider selection.
Assistance dogs are welcome on the Park and there is a designated dog walking area at the bottom of the park.
We have resident Park assistants who are contactable throughout the week and in an emergency.
The park has good coverage on Vodafone, T Mobile, O2 and Orange networks.
Offshore swimming pool and café are accessible via a ramped access from the car park. The swimming pool is accessible to people with reasonable mobility, but is inaccessible to wheelchair users due to the varying levels. (For our disabled customers we recommend that the public pool in Axminster is used due to the disabled facilities offered).
The Lighthouse games room and telephone booth are both accessible via a ramp and our Internet and Information Room is on level ground. We have two course fishing Lakes on the park, which are stocked with Carp, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Tench. There is no vehicular access to the lakes; we do however offer a drop off and collection service for customers with mobility problems. Please inform our Reception Staff when purchasing your ticket if this service is required.
The local taxi company, Matts Cabs – Telephone 01297 442222 have a specially adapted vehicle for those who need assistance. Please advise them of your needs when booking a taxi.
